How many times must people see an advert before they buy?
Since I have been marketing a small business for myself, I will admit, I too quit marketing at times. Frustrated because I spent hundreds of dollars on Facebook and or Google, received clicks and my traffic increased amazingly. But no sales.
I figured the platform did not work. Or my ad may have sucked and I needed to go back to the drawing board.

YET, A ROI OF OVER 100% OTHER TIMES
However, this is when I realized that this could not be accurate. Since, there are times that I would market and for every $130, I spent, I had a client or project that brought me a return of $120-$500 during that month.
I realize now, after years of marketing that the problem is not always that the platform is not working or that the ad sucks.
NO SALES? YET?
It is very very simple. They don't need you ...yet.
"Even if you’ve closely targeted the right people, bidded on keyword phrases that have intent - they may not need your product or service today. Think about it.
And if they only see your marketing message once, it’s not likely they’ll remember you tomorrow or next week or next year when they suddenly do need you.
When it comes to marketing out of sight is definitely out of mind."
How many times have you seen advertisements? And even clicked on the ad to check out the website? I am sure you are guilty of not making a purchase.

PEOPLE HAVE TO MANY REASONS WHY THEY CAN'T BUY NOW
Maybe they changed their mind, did not have the money for a big ticket item or needed to check up on the business to see their reviews? And comparing to the competitors. Or they just forget about your ad or business until they see the ad again and again. It is a difficult process but the fact of marketing.
GETTING SEEN MANY TIMES - THE TRICK
In addition, per stats, apparently an ad needs to be seen at least 7 times to 11 times before a searcher will make a purchase. With this, you need to be consistent and have an ad spend or budget to cover those curiousity clicks. COST PER CLICK GOOGLE ADWORDS ESTIMATE
A budget for marketing on search engines, such as Google, cost per click google adwords estimate could hover around $250-$400 a month just to be competitive and cover the daily ad spend and target long-tail keyword phrases.
Don't feel bad that they don't need you yet or your product. If you are targeting phrases with intent, you will get your customer if you are consistent and don't quit marketing. Unless you don't have the money to market then that is another problem.
