How can I market better on Facebook?

I find that most business owners use their business page incorrectly 100% of the time and that includes large businesses too! And then they say, "Facebook does not work."

SOCIAL IS SOCIAL AND NOTHING ELSE

Social media was meant to be social. I am talking about the newsfeed here and not the pay per click advertising that Facebook offers.


IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU. IT IS ABOUT YOUR FANS

When you are posting on your news feed to your fanbase, the posts must be about topics that are of interest to your audience and they should never be about YOU 80% of the time.


And that is where business owners are failing and I am sure you have said this at one time in your business marketing, "Facebook does not work."


IT IS YOUR AD THAT IS NOT WORKING (NOT TO BE RUDE)

Sadly, Facebook does work and I know many business owners that get leads often and get engagement. It is your ad that is not working.


LEARN TO WRITE HEADLINES FIRST

IF you are not well-versed in copywriting (writing ads or organic posts) that have an interesting SHORT headline then you are already failing.


SPOIL YOUR FAN BASE WITH TIPS, TRICKS, ENGAGING PHOTOS AND MORE

The next is to include engaging, inspiring and educational posts. Again! Nothing about you! 80 percent of the time.


AMUSE YOUR FANS AND TEACH AND INSPIRE THEM TO ENGAGE

But what is the point? The point is that you want people to go back to your Facebook for articles. For example: you run a travel agency to Cuba. So, you post several times a week (at the right times) about how to lose weight in time for your next vacation, history of Cuba, lovely fashion of Cuba, ways to save for vacations, how to safer while traveling abroad, and any travel warnings (good or bad).


LOGO. LOGO. LOGO

Then, every time your post comes up in a newsfeed of your fan base (assuming you are posting correctly) then they will see your logo. (If you don't have a logo in your thumbnail, please do this asap).


BOAST ABOUT YOURSELF ONLY 20% OF THE TIME

Now comes your favorite part. Now 20% percent of the time, post about your service and your value proposition. A quick short statement, an insider image of yourself or something you did that week.





MARKETING IS CONSISTENT NOT AN OVER NIGHT WHAM BAM

That is it. Try that for at least a year and then watch your ROI on time and money work for you.
